To be eligible to enroll in health coverage through Get Covered Illinois, you:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or have a qualifying immigration status.
- Must hold your citizenship or “lawfully present” immigration status for the entire enrollment period.
- Must be a resident of Illinois
- Must NOT be incarcerated
If you have Medicare coverage, you're not eligible to buy a health or dental plan through Get Covered Illinois.
