Migrant workers who have an H-2A visa status are eligible to enroll in coverage through Get Covered Illinois. To qualify for Get Covered Illinois, your primary residence must be in Illinois. As a migrant worker, if you move residences frequently for your job within Illinois, you can still be eligible to enroll in Get Covered Illinois. You will need to update your Get Covered Illinois account information each time you move home residences to ensure you’re receiving the correct eligibility for financial assistance. Your health insurance monthly premium rate may change based on your home address location.
To show your eligibility for Get Covered Illinois, you will be asked to upload a picture or scanned copy in your Get Covered Illinois application portal of one of your immigration documents showing your visa code. For example, you may upload a picture or copy of the US Visa immigration page in your passport with entrance code H-2A for migrant workers.
